Born in Fort Polk, Louisiana but
raised in Mississippi and Tennessee, Jordan is a true southern belle. She was
born on August 23, 1995 on an army base where her father was stationed.
Throughout her childhood she has moved from different cities, states, and
schools due to her parents’ traumatic divorce. The constant moving caused her
to become accustomed to change at an early age. Endless change in environments
and traumatized caused Jordan to become closed socially closed off from peers.
As a result Jordan was bullied from grade school until middle school. Jordan
confidence was shot due to years of bulling, causing her to not engage in
sports or
clubs in school but she grew closer to secluded activities such as
drawing, sewing, and reading; which helped her unleash her frustrations. Jordan
then moved to Memphis, TN and attended one of the most prestigious middle and
high schools in the city, White Station. In high school Jordan started to
become more social and began to regain her confidence but unlike her confidence
her grades started to decline. With the help of a counselor and a tutoring program
Jordan managed to graduate high school and make a 17 on her ACT. During high
school Jordan was a student in her schools honors thespian class. She
discovered that she liked the production aspect of entertainment during a play
that she was an understudy in. When Jordan graduated high school she didn’t
quite know what she wanted to do in life. She was referred by a close friend to
attend Lane College and applied right away. Currently Jordan attends Lane
College as a senior pursing a bachelors in Mass Communication. Throughout
Jordan’s college career she has excelled in many areas by joining clubs,
participating in pageants and becoming a student leader. Jordan’s favorite
organization is NAACP, her service and dedication acquired her the title as
Miss NAACP ‘16-’17. Jordan’s outstanding resume has landed her two internships,
The Divah Filez Magazine as a fashion contributing writer and the other as a
mentor for underprivileged youth in Miami through a program named City Year
.When Jordan successfully completes her internships she plans on continuing her
education in graduate school in Florida. Jordan has created and designed her
own website for her fashion journalism as well as online shopping boutique that
she plans to launch soon. She enjoys traveling, fashion, photography and
journalism which is why she plans on becoming a fashion magazine editor to have
a career that includes her passions. Her recreational hobbies consists of
swimming, running, bicycling, and shopping. Jordan is committed to giving back
to her community through service and mentorship. Her overall goals in life is to live a
